RE-Cap of 2011 Accomplishments:   A run down of worked performed by the Board in 2011 was delivered by Kevin Fallon – President

  • Newsletter – e-blast and place on website – Twitter / Facebook
  • Get more involvement – new elections next year –

Resident Issues Raised:

  1. 1.       Storm Pond behind Wedgewood – Residents that abut pond would like to see debris/ silt removed from pond. – Want to have fountain working this year – ( look into power feed and Fountain issue with Ponds Beautiful) Also can we do something about the color of the water – Pond garbage is excessive – cleanout the pipes/catch basins to reduce waste in pond.
  2. 2.       Pool Maintenance/ Passes: - Hastings Water Works needs to do a better job with cleaning / vacuuming the pool. The concept of having pool guest pay a fee of $2.00 as Kingsbury was discussed. The board can look into this concept for the next pool season.
  3. 3.       Clubhouse Rental:  A motion was made to raise the party room rental to $50. – motion carried.
  4. 4.       Mailboxes  The website should be updated to reflect sites where the Rural mailbox can be purchased.  A carpenter that is familiar with the mailbox criteria is also noted on the website.
  5. 5.       Large Pond behind Brookstone Court  Investigate the need for a grate at the wier to prevent debris from accessing the storm pipe system.
  6. 6.       Garbage Collection- Investigate the possibility of combining service for pick-up in the community. Copley Twp just opened refuse bids for the coming year – range from $14-18/mo.

2012 Budget Review:   Steve Nagy reviewed budget number.  Dues were raised to $425/year.  Forecast a $7,300 deficit for 2012 if we undertake some improvements around the property.
